Not exactly : This is a picture of a pap smear. The pap can pick up abnormal cervical cells which may lead to a diagnosis of cin, or cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. This is a marker for early cervical cancer and leads to more testing. If cervical cancer is diagnosed, the actual stage is determined by imaging and surgery.
