Can only papsmear tests show cervical cancer, or do other tests show them as well?

Cervical biopsy...: A pap test is designed to screen for both dysplasia (precancer) and cancer of the cervix. If a patient has an abnormal pap test, then a tissue biopsy of the cervix may be performed. A biopsy will help to further classify the disease process and to confirm the findings of the pap test.

Pap is best: Pap smears are the best way to find a small cervix cancer. There are now some additional teatsbthat can be dine with the pap smear sample that can detect infections with high risk hpv. Larger cancers can sometimes be seen or felt on a pelvic examination or on imaging studies.
