Fuchs dystrophy: Is a condition which causes premature aging of the lining of the cornea (the clear covering of the eye). This lining contains a layer of cells called the endothelium, which functions to keep the cornea clear and free of swelling. In severe cases of fuchs', the corneal surface can become rough and irritated. Drops can help, but you may need surgery on the cornea to help in the long term.
