A member asked:

How bacterial prostatitis can b diagnosed/treated? i'd 2 months antibiotic course+ab for treating it but no improvements yet. e.coli found in culture

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prostatitis: It is not clear from your question what antibiotic was being used. The prostate is quite resistant to penetration by many antibiotics, and those which get in well do not necessarily treat the causative organism. In addition it is helpful to have frequent ejaculations to clear any obstruction and hot sitz baths also help. If you are not seeing a urologist, would do so now. Good luck.
