Normally: If you're an adult the nurses start an iv, then you may receive versed if anxious. After the versed you might not remember anything except waking up in the recovery room possibly nauseous. Otherwise you will receive Propofol in your IV after the monitors placed, sometimes causing a burning sensation, and a few seconds later you will be asleep and wake up in the recovery room or immediately prior.
