Dry socket: Most common cause of "unbearable pain" after wisdom tooth removal is a dry socket where the blood clot has waged out and the bone is exposed to the oral environment. Please return to the surgeon who did your extraction for rx and, in all probability, lam ost instantaneous relief.

See oral surgeon: If the pain is "unbearable" despite pain meds, you may have a dry socket. See your oral surgeon. If you con't have a dry socket, you may need stonger pain medication. If your tooth was removed by a general dentist, see an oral surgeon.
