Clinical Psychology 14 years experience
Symptom overview: Obsession = recurring unwanted obsessions/thoughts; Compulsion = recurring, ritualized actions an individual may feel compelled to perform (counting, checking behavior). Compulsive behavior is often not connected to obsessive thoughts.
ADHD: Chronic inability to pay attention/sustain focus in multiple settings and impulsive, hyperactive behavior, inability to stay still or remain quiet.
