Bloating & Gas: Could be neither. Food intolerance such as lactose or gluten may be a factor. Ulcerative colitis is usually associated with diarrhea, often in early stages(pending diagnosis) bloody diarrhea. The bacteria h. Pylori may also cause bloating and gasiness. Ibs may be a factor but usually accompanied by other symptoms such as constipation and/or diarrhea, abdominal pain. See your doctor for evaluation.
