Dads and Moms can: The causative gene has not been identified. Male:female ratio is 4:1; however, partial penetrance can occur in females. Therefore, a maternal family history of anxiety disorders, especially ocd, sometimes with adhd may be the only clues. Language-based learning disorders, habit disorders like nail-biting, skin-picking, hair-twirling, mood disorders & autistic disorder may co-occur.
