Other therapy?: The real question is whether you are receiving other therapy for what sounds like back pain?Physical therapy which may include heat and massage may tremendously help.A pain specialist may help by adjusting the medications and finding some that are more effective for nerve pain.Also, they may help with epidural steroid injections.Surgery is usually not helpful unless there is nerve root compression.
