Novocaine: Novocaine, generic name is procaine is hardly ever used at all these days as a local anesthetic for a variety of reasons. There are safer, more effective local anesthetics that should be used in place of Novocaine. In addition, I would not recommend that anyone attempt to manufacture a prescription drug intended to be injected into the body. Please do not attempt to do this.
