Bordeline PD: If it's your disorder you're talking about, find an excellent psychologist and get into individual therapy. Ask him or her also about dialectical behavioral therapy, which helps you learn skills in managing painful emotion, etc. If you're talking about borderline pd in someone you're close to, encourage him/her to get treatment. Educate yourself. This book may help: http://tinyurl.Com/m44hg8d.

Borderline: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what borderline personality disorder means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
