A member asked:

What is the effectiveness of methyphenidate vs. bupropion for add?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bupropion not proven: or approved in ADHD, but I have seen it helpful in people who ALSO had depression (which is primarily what I was treating) and MILD ADHD. In a few cases, it really improved their symptoms to the point where they had no problems with learning, retention and fidgetiness. In many cases it is of some help. Methylphenidate is generally a better drug for this condition, particularly long-acting forms.
