A member asked:

Please tell me if it is safe to have general anesthesia 4 months after concussion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: This would depend on whether you have completely recovered from the concussion.Generally most people recover from their concussions by 6-12 weeks after the injury. The way to tell is if all the symptoms of the concussion have resolved-ie. Headaches, dizziness, trouble thinking or focusing, nausea. If they haven't you may need brain imaging first to make certain there is no structural residual problem.
