See your foot dr: This could be from the bursitis/ achilles tendinitis/ gout/ or other problems - proper evaluation is important. If this is not gout, applying ice for short time may help, but see your physician!

Heel : Some patients will say back of heel when they mean the bottom of the heel and these are 2 different things. Having said that , it may be achilles tendonitis , arthritis in the joint near the tendon, as well other things. See your podiatrist for an exam and xrays.
