Extreme lower leg pain after back surgery l3, l4, l5s1?

How long ago?: The cause depends on how long ago was the surgery. If it was a couple of weeks ago then inflammation, hematoma or infection may be the cause. If it was a whole ago then recurrent problem or further degeneration may be the cause. Also what type of surgery ? Fusion or just decompression can have different causes. It needs to be evaluated by a spine surgeon.
