Discuss with parents: If you are tutoring someone who seems "hyper", gently recommend that they have their child tested. Most school systems have "child study " teams which will evaluate a child to rule-out adhd for free. Try to gently raise the issue with parents --- usually they will already have an inkling that something may be wrong. Child study team may recommend a neurologist or therapist.
