Salt Substitute: Salt causes water retention, excess fluids that the kidneys cannot excrete may end up as fluid accumulation around the ankles. Elevate the feet when sitting to the level of your heart, wear ted hose or jobst stockings, and limit your salt intake. Find other seasonings that won't kill you.
