Dreams: Melatonin is a safe natural hormone. It is usually taken in much lower doses to promote sleep. Higher doses (up to 100mg) have been used in human research trials for breast cancer. So you may feel sleepy, and you will likely have very vivid dreams tonight; you may feel groggy in the morning. But it will not cause any life-threatening problems taken at that dose by itself. Usual dose .5-10mg/night.
