Do not go to ER: Going to the hospital would be the last option. A chronic problem is to be addressed in the family or pediatric clinic. It is a primary care problem. It is not a life threatening emergency. Please contact the baby's doctor for an appointment.

Emergency: Diarrhea caused dehydration in an infant can be life threatening. Can't treat symptoms without determining cause. Call pediatrician or go to er immediately.
