ALS unlikely: Since common things happen commonly, the most likely diagnosis is median or ulnar nerve compression in the arms from all that arm bending or pressure used in studying. You are young, but we do not know your health history, or prior medical issues. Your doctor can examine you, order testing, and make a correct diagnosis for this problem.

NOT ALS: Most likely answer could be carpal tunnel syndrome due to keyboarding, and simple to reverse if present. Some patients with migraine can experience fleeting issues with arms or hands, associated with the headache. You are far too young to develop ALS.
