A member asked:

What are symptoms of a blood clot and can you get them in your arms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, rarely: 85-90% of DVT if that is what you mean occur in the lower extremities. Depending on risks, it can occur in other places including de novo clots or thrombosis in other places, even the heart itself. If that occurs, risks have to be evaluated for why there are clots especially in rare areas. Pain, swelling, discoloration and firm veins are the best clues to see.
