They often occur in multiples, typically in straight lines, because the flea will bite, then crawl, then bite again, then crawl, then bite again. (one of my professors called that "the breakfast-lunch-dinner sign.).

Red spots: Very itchy.Flea bites occur in groups of three or four bites on the body and look like tiny red bumps.Wash the bites with soap and water apply calamine lotion or prescription steroids to help with the itching.Try not to scratch too much to avoid infection.
