Ineffective Meds: I am sorry to report but you very well may have been mis-treated. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is no longer an effective choice for possible gonorrhea treatment. There is a drug resistant gonorrhea now spreading through the western world and patients must be treated with an injection of Ceftriaxone now for this symptom and this infection.
