A member asked:

Is it better to avoid ibuprofen when on methylphenidate and fluvoxamine ?

Ritalin (methylphenidate) can raise: The blood levels of Luvox so the Luvox dose may need to be decreased. By raising the blood level of Luvox it also slightly increases the risk of serotonin syndrome. Advil (ibuprofen) mixed in with Luvox can increase the risk of G.I. Bleed especially in the elderly but not to be expected in a young person especially someone who is not on any other blood thinners.
