My doc wants to do egd for abdominal pain 3 years post op for removal of pancreas. will egd help find reason for pain?

Possibly: Ulcer, stenosis, new lesions. It will see stomach, duodenum, possibly common duct papillae etc.

It might: The procedure of pancreas removal is complicated and problems can develop at a later date. Egd is a good way to eliminate some of them and is relatively well tolerated.

Doc said L ribs are swollen, labs fine. Some pain on L and R upper abdomen. Would enlarged spleen cause pain both sides? What else could it be?
