Gastroenterology: I know of no blood test that would in any way assist in diagnosing the cause of your symptoms. A blood test is not how these problems are assessed. Didn't your physician examine you? Evaluate what you eat or have eaten or sent you on to see the GI specialist? Was a stool sample sent to the lab?
