Yes: Braces are used to move teeth and just because someone is missing teeth does not mean they cannot have braces. If you are looking at improving your smile i would consider talking with a dentist that has experience with esthetic dentistry before proceeding with the braces.

Team effort: For best results probably need an orthodontic specialist to move teeth into the best relationships in which to do restorative treatment, and a restorative dentist to reshape teeth if spaces closed, or replace missing teeth if spaces opened. The orthodontist and the restorative dentist, working together, can arrive at the treatment plan that best resolves your problem.
