Time for a visit: An exam with specialized lighting can usually identify retained foreign bodies in this area. I sometimes retrieve wads of paper, food, beads or whatever from this location.It can get wedged up there pretty tight. Afrin (oxymetazoline) squirted up the nose can shrink the walls a bit and help a kid sneeze it out.Failure to remove it usually results in an infection at the site.
