A member asked:

I understand that during your period, the uterine lining sheds. i check every month and noticed this month it didn't come out. what could that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lining of the uterus: When a woman has a regular period the lining of the uterus always sheds, whether her normal periods are light and short or long and heavy. Some women see just blood with their period, others see what looks like tissue or blood clots. Either way, if it is a normal period for her, she shed the lining of the uterus. Bleeding that is abnormal may not be shedding the lining.
