Depends cyst size: If the cyst is small and truly benign, it is unlikely to be the cause of memory loss. If the cyst is large or is causing compression on the aqueduct of sylvius, there can be some impedence of csf(cerebrospinal fluid) flow that could lead to hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus can lead to headaches, gait problems, and memory problems. Have it looked at closely by a neurologist or neurosurgeon.

Pineal cyst: Pineal cysts are actually quite common. Unless the cyst is causing an obstruction and you would be having symptoms like severe headaches they are not related to memory loss.
