Sounds like you have: An enlarged lymph node. You are correct about watching it. Not to worry but watch it for 2 weeks and inform your pcp. If its getting bigger or becomes painful, see the pcp sooner.

Lymph node: You are probably feeling an inguinal lymph node. If you just noticed this, and there are no others, watch it as you mentioned, but see your doctor if something changes (especially with your history).
