Fluid: No it is not 'just' fluid. See your family doc to find out what the cause is. You never just' take a pill ' without first determining the underlying cause. Please go sooner rather than later

Depends on the cause: There are many causes of swollen legs, and consequently differing ways to treat or manage. Most common causes are hormonal, or due to immobility, obesity, varicose veins but they can be a signal of heart, kidney or lung disease. See http://patient.info/health/oedema-swelling for a brief overview. See your Dr for a comprehensive review and diagnosis

Swelling legs : There are many reasons for swollen legs. This will include hypothyroidism, hormones , cardiac problems , poor venous drainage in legs because of varicose veins, scarring from old injuries leading to lymphatic drainage issues, certain infections etc. You will need to see your GP as starters to get investigated and see what fits the bill .
