Is that normal to have neck pain with a vp shunt i've been having sharp pains in mine on the shunt side? what is it?

Neck pain: Most of neck pain is benign, musculoskeletal discomfort. With a shunt it may indicate shunt malfunction or breakage. If there are associated symptoms of hydrocephalus such as headache, visual changes, nausea, or your specific symptoms see your neurosurgeon immediately. Either way a shunt series of x-rays and trip to the neurosurgeon is a good idea.
