I recently went to my doctor...yes i'm pregnant. i didn't hear the baby heartbeat and i'm 3 months should i be worried?

Not necessarily: If current us shows healthy fetus and healthy heart and limbs, there is not much likelihood of trouble. If you feel concern, talk to the obstetrician about tests of the fetus that can be performed.

Don't worry: I usually will hear the heartbeat on my pregnant patients starting 11 to 14 weeks along. So most of the time if the heartbeat isn't heard at 12 weeks it's due to the position of the uterus or inaccurate dates. An ultrasound is often done in this situation to check dates and see the heartbeat. Let your doctor know your concerns. Good luck.
