Mental illness: Mental illness is a serious disease process. It should be taken seriously and treated appropriately like all other disease processes. Our current health care system may require certain reforms regarding the treatment of the mentally ill; but people with suicidal thoughts sill require urgent medical intervention.

Feeling Bad: Feeling bad is a common problem, especially when one is depressed or hopeless or cannot see themselves out of their current situation. But, no, in fact no in a big way. One should not die because they have these feelings. If your current medications or therapy are not working please get a second opinion or ask this very powerful question of your current therapist.

No, not "bad" : No -- people who feel suicidal are not "bad." in most cases they are ill with depression, substance abuse, psychosis, or some other problem that can be treated if the person allows this. Some people go to great lengths to avoid help, and they unfortunately die -- leaving behind very distraught family and friends. Helping professionals are human, ; if they feel "fed up." they need help also.
