Tingling, pan: Carpal tunnel syndrome is due to pressure on the nerve at the wrist. It causes tingling and/or numbness in the index and middle fingers, sometimes weakness of grip. Tendonitis at the wrist mainly causes pain.

Distinct: Patiens often present with both conditions. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a nerve compression leading to numbness and/or tingling in the fingers and potential hand weakness. Tendonitis symptoms will vary depending on where. In the finger (i.E trigger finger) there may be painful snapping and even locking of the finger. Wrist tendonitis presents mainly with pain exacerbated with certain motions.
