Either or both: Carpal tunnel syndrome (cts) usually presents with numbness/tingling in the thumb, index, long and the radial half of the ring finger. Tendinitis in the wrist usually involves the 1st dorsal compartment, on the thumb side. The pain is usually worse with side to side movement of the wrist. See a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
