Cardiolite study: It is a stress test that should be able detect a potential heart attack.

Stress thallium: The study is made to look at the possibility of clogged arteries in the heart that can be more discernible with exercise or stress. If distribution of dye is poorer in some areas, these have to be defined with angiogram to be able to treat them. If there is diffuse disease and equalization, it can miss. If there are collaterals the area would still look good. It is not to predict mi, only vessels.
