I've had a low grade fever for 1 month. i have undergone sputum test, which is negative, is it possible something is wrong with the sample?

Incomplete info: What sputum test? Was it culture for tb? Do you have cough? What other symptoms do you have? Fever of unknown origin is usually a difficult issue to solve and this is not an appropriate forum to address the matter.
