Yes: Yes. Weight loss and cutting down on sweets can lower your blood sugar, and bring your sugar from pre-diabetic to normal range (although there's no guarantee). Since pre-diabetes often means that the pancreas (the organ which makes insulin) is wearing down, you will probably remain at risk for developing diabetes in the future. Daily exercise can help, too.
