Bronchitis.: Chronic bronchitis is typcally seen in smoker, current or past. The mucous membrane lining of respiratory tract becomes more responsive by producing more secretions resulting in cough.

COPD...: Chronic bronchitis is a form of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. There is no cure and it is a slowly progressive disorder. There are treatments to control symptoms. You have already done the most important thing by quitting smoking. Follow your doctor's recommendations to control this disease.
