Maybe: Smoking increases your risk of bronchitis and also of lung cancer. If you stop now, the lung cancer risk may go away.

Yes....: The longer and the more you smoke, the more at risk for malignancy you are. The fact that you quit smoking will lower your risk but you are still at risk. See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Congrats on quitting!
