Night symptoms: Most patients with dust mite allergy have year round symptoms at night or upon awakening with nasal congestion, sneezing and runny nose. Dusting or vacuuming can worsen symptoms. An allergist can test to confirm or rule out dust mite allergy. Many things can be done to decrease dust mite exposure if one is found to be allergic.
