A member asked:

I'm worried because my mom recently tested positive for tb and when i asked her about it she said shes always had. but if that so why don't i have it, what do you suggest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Past exposure: If a person has been exposed to tb, s/he may remain positive for a skin or blood test for TB for years after that without having any disease. There is no need to worry, if there are no symptoms and your mother is not on any immunosuppressvie medication.
