Can you tell me is there anyone else who is allergic to asfoetida / hing?

Asafoetida: Sometimes causes issues in the context of wheat allergy or gluten intolerance (because of contamination when the spice is made). Although it is made from the latex of the plant, there is no recorded cross-reactivity with rubber tree latex; although this is a theoretical concern. The pungent odor may also interact with neural receptors (eg TRPV1) known to contribute to non-allergic rhinitis.
