Could be OFAS: A common complaint in patients allergic to certain pollen is that some foods (like fresh fruit & vegetables) trigger local symptoms in the mouth - itching, burning, even slight swelling of the mucous membranes due to cross-reactivity (e.g. tree pollen, tree fruit; ragweed, melon). Tip-off is that symptoms are completely avoided when the food is either cooked, processed, or even peeled.
