Are you able to take a test besides patch testing to see if you are allergic to something? can a skin biopsy tell you if you are allergic to a cosmetic or is there some other test that help determine if you are allergic to it

Blood test : You can get an allergen panel drawn - called a RAST panel. They specific to your region.

See below: Patch test detects delayed type hypersensitivity (Type 4) to an allergen, usually used to determine the reason for contact dermatitis and eczema. Skin biopsy can tell what kind of inflammatory cells are present in the skin and can not distinguish between what chemical might be the cause. Skin prick test is used to rule out environmental and food allergy. Hope this helps!
