A member asked:

How can i know if i have asthma. do i go to my normal physician first, or what?

Asthma diagnosis: Short answer: yes. Any disease including asthma is diagnosed based on 1) symptoms, 2) physical examination findings and 3) the results from lab tests. Individual cases, all three of the above may not be necessary. Example: in some occasions, info from the symptoms alone are good enough to make the diagnosis.
