Acid reflex: If a short (1 to 2 week) course of over-the-counter anti-acid medications does not get your problem under control, then you should see your doctor or a gastroenterologist for evaluation for probable acid reflux . In the meantime you can look up anti-reflux measures online and use antacids such as Tums or Mylanta regularly. Good luck.
